Ralph W. Illges

Ralph W. Illges, 61, is the President and founder of Silver Spring Capital, Inc. He is a resident of Cross Plains, Tennessee. He received a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and a J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is an Investment Advisory Representative registered with the State of Tennessee.

After graduating from law school, Ralph began his investment career as a Financial Consultant with The Robinson Humphrey Company in Columbus, Georgia. After leaving Robinson Humphrey, Ralph joined AFLAC, a $150 Billion (Asset) insurance company also based in Columbus. During his eight years at AFLAC, Ralph was Senior Vice President of AFLAC International, responsible for insurance operations in nine foreign countries in Asia, Europe and North America. He was also Chief Operating Officer of AFLAC New York, the company's fastest-growing U.S. territory. In addition, he served as Chairman of AFLAC's insurance subsidiaries in Canada and the United Kindom. His responsibilites while at AFLAC included management of all facets of insurance operations as well as of a number of fixed income portfolios primarily invested in foreign currency fixed income obligations.

In 1997, Ralph co-founded WealthTrust, Inc., a Nashville-based investment management company where he served as its Chief Financial Officer. Upon his departure from WealthTrust, the company had offices in ten cities and was managing in excess of $5 Billion for approximately 3,000 clients.

Ralph and his wife, Mary Phil, have three children: Mimi (30), Walton (28) and Mat (25) and seven grandchildren. He is a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cross Plains and is a graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee.  He is immediate past Chairman of The Robertson County Community Foundation. Ralph enjoys working on the family's farm and working with children, both here and at The Emmanuel Orphanage in Jeremie, Haiti.


Vicki L. Swann

Vicki Swann joined Silver Spring Capital in August of 2015 as Executive Assistant. Vicki is a former teacher in the Robertson County School System and, most recently served as Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cross Plains. She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and she and her husband Joe are parents to three terrific children, Jenna (22), Ben (19) and Nate (16).
